The Oakwood Sports Medicine team is led by Medical Director, Marc J. Milia, MD.  Dr. Milia graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School, where he played offensive line for the Michigan Wolverines, and was a member of three Rose Bowl teams.  He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, North Carolina.  He then completed a one-year Sports Medicine Fellowship in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder at the University of Pittsburgh working with the National Football League’s Pittsburgh Steelers. As the Director of Sports Medicine, Jeffrey A. Kline, ATC, PES oversees the day-to-day operation of the services within the sports medicine program. Since graduating from Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine and exercise science, he has gained a diverse background in sports medicine including NAJHL hockey, World University Games in baseball, Paralympic Games in swimming, US Olympic Committee medical staff appointment, World University Games in volleyball and international travel for baseball and softball competition.
