High school wrestlers in Michigan, through the Michigan High School Athletic Association, are required to participate in one of the premier weight monitoring programs for high school wrestling in the country. The program has multiple purposes, but the emphasis is on the establishment of a minimum wrestling weight, a programmatic method to assist in that weight establishment (bodyfat assessment through skinfold measurement by an Assesor) and a nutritional education requirement for coaches, parents and wrestlers annually.
Oakwood Sports Medicine fully supports the Weight Monitoring Program. All of the athletic trainers in our program are qualified Skinfold Assessors and we also provide the nutrition education seminars for wrestlers and parents. Our expertise is coming to a wrestling program near you!

Times are tough. Sad. True.
